The Solo-Jec® 5 vaccine for dogs protects dogs against five diseases caused by Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus Type 2 (CAV-2), Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus.

What is in the Solo-Jec® 5 Vaccine?

This 5-in-1 vaccine for dogs and puppies is a combination of antigenic and attenuated strains of Canine Distemper, Parainfluenza, CAV-2, and Parvovirus propagated in cell line tissue cultures. The liquid diluent is the Parvovirus vaccine. A modified, live virus, the Solo-Jec® 5 vaccine for dogs can be administered intramuscularly or subcutaneously and is recommended for use in healthy dogs six weeks of age or older that are not exposed to Leptospira. Solo-Jec® 5 contains twenty-five 1 ml doses.

How Many Doses of Solo-Jec® 5 Vaccine Should be Given to Puppies and on What Schedule?

Healthy puppies should be given the Solo-Jec 5 vaccine at 3-4 week intervals until 16 weeks old for at least 3 doses.

How Do You Administer the Solo-Jec® 5-Way Vaccine?

1mL should be injected intramuscularly or subcutaneously. The Solo-Jec 5 vaccine for dogs suggests following these instructions to administer the vaccine: Open the syringe by twisting or tapping the cap against a hard surface to break the heat weld. Prepare the vaccine by injecting the diluent into the vial containing the desiccated vaccine cake. Shake well. Withdraw entire contents into the syringe. Thoroughly prepare the site with antiseptic. Inject 1 mL intramuscularly or subcutaneously.
