All pets should have proper identification to increase the chances they'll be found and returned home if they're ever lost. With HomeAgain® Microchips, dogs and cats can be protected throughout their entire lifetime — without having to change the microchip or temperature sensor. These identification microchips come preloaded in an applicator with a 12 gauge needle and will tie pets to a unique 134.2 kHz (15-digit) ID number, which is registered in the HomeAgain database.
With its simple, one-piece syringe design, veterinarians can complete the injection in just a few seconds. Along with being quicker and causing minimal pain for pets, this process also reduces the risk of improper needle-to-applicator usage and issues with sterility.
To register a pet with HomeAgain®, there is a $19.99 annual fee. Along with being able to take advantage of all kinds of safety and wellness benefits, members also have access to 24/7 support.

Once it's been inserted, it can be read with a compatible microchip scanner/ reader like the HomeAgain® Universal WorldScan™ Plus. It works with all ISO microchip readers often found at animal shelters or veterinarian offices. Each time a pet is scanned, the microchip also functions as a dog or cat temperature sensor. This integrated temperature biosensor measures subcutaneous temperature fluctuations at the location where the chip is inserted.
Needle Size: 12 gauge
