To Scan: Push the button on the device to turn it on. Once ready to scan, hold down the button on the scanner and wave over the animal. Starting at the shoulder blades of the animal. If microchip is not found there, wave the scanner over the rest of the body of the animal to check for the microchip. Auto turn-off feature saves battery life.
